William Cayen Skilled Trades Scholarship
William Cayen is a long-time MSGCU Board Member who developed a passion helping students achieve their dreams and follow their passions. Often times, students with a true passion or talent within a specific field consider attending a trade or vocational school. With the skilled trades industry being in high-demand in Michigan, we are proud to offer funds to help offset the cost of a certificate program in engineering, manufacturing, or other industrial and advanced technologies. The William Cayen Skilled Trades Scholarship will provide two (2) recipients $2,500 to fund a certificate program in the skilled trades industry.
Recipients will be selected based on a number of criteria, including academic excellence, an essay, and an administrator's letter of recommendation. Two (2) one-time $2,500 scholarships are offered. Applications are accepted January 11, 2021 at 8:00 a.m. EST through March 5, 2021 at 10:00 p.m. EST. Ready to get started? Get a head start by reviewing our application tips before you begin.
